Originally built in 1859, this splendid and much extended Victorian Gothic mansion is enviably situated in extensive grounds leading down to the Thames. Stylish public rooms are comfortable and there are a number of useful conference suites including a converted boathouse. Only a handful of bedrooms are in the main house with the majority located in adjoining wings. All rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished and many enjoy river views. The Oakleaf restaurant offers guests an interesting range of carefully prepared dishes and during Summer, alfresco dining is available. The hotel is also equipped with a smart leisure club, a small nine hole golf course and boating trips can be easily arranged. |
